Yes but contamination of Fire Kit can be extremely difficult to remove and therefore GTS should be worn in order to facilitate effective decon unless there are clear operationally imperative reasons not to do so.
Where it is necessary to commit firefighting crews to an area of known asbestos contamination the IC should seek advice from who?
HMEPO or an SA.
What constitutes adequate protection in incidents involving cement asbestos and artex coatings, with what caveat?
BA or Respirators fitted with a P3 filter are sufficient though suspected cement asbestos should be confirmed by an HMEPO or SA.
