explain the three components of an expert system in a medical context
the patient is asked textual questions by the systems user interface. Then they reply by entering dat into the computer via a keyboard.
Next, each answer will probably be sent using real time transaction processing. the computer can change questions based on previous answers. Then the computer will search its huge knowledge database of illnesses and use an interference engine to make a diagnosis.
To output this information the compute is most likely to display a the diagnosis along with a percentage on how sure it is.

Why is GIGO important in verification?
A visual check by the patient is needed to make sure that the symptons entered are accurate-if not then the diagnosis will be inaccurate
