it takes longer for students to complete the transition from school to working full time.Researchers estimate that the transition now takes approximately 8 years.
What are some of the consequences on school performance that working students face?
Due to higher work demands, students are encouraged to abandon their studies in order to become financially self-sufficient.
How do male students tend to cope with demands of paid work?
Male students reduce leisure time
How do female students tend to cope with demands of paid work?
Sleep less to accommodate a paid job (sleeps about one hour less than female students who don’t work)
