The Legislative Branch/Congress.
What is Congress divided into?
The Senate and the House of Representatives.
How old does a Senator have to be, and how long is their term?
They have to be thirty years old, and the length of term is six years.
How old do representatives have to be, and how long is their term?
They have to be twenty five, and the length of their term is two years.
What is the citizenship required for a Senator?
Nine year resident and a US citizen.
What is the citizenship required for a Representative?
Seven year resident and a US citizen.
Who is the president of the senate?
The Vice President of the US.
Who presides over impeachment over the President?
Impeachment happens in house, removal happens in Senate
Where should bills which raise revenue be introduced?
In the House of Representatives.
What is a bill of attainder?
A person can’t be charged with a crime without a court trial (censure).
What is an ex post facto law?
A person can’t be charged with a crime if their action was legal at the time. Even if a law is put into place that makes it illegal later, they still can’t be charged with that crime.
