what is security assistance
SA is an element of SC
a group of programs that USG uses to provide defense articles, military training, and other defense related services.
generally overseen by Department of State.
what is security force assistance
unified action to generate, employ, and sustain local host nation or regional security forces in support of a legitimate authority
FID planning
Fid is the majority of DOD and DOS activities are incorportated into theatre planning and shaping process.
DOS title 22 participqnts are non combatants
DOD title 10 is not restricted to non combatants

internal defense and development strategy is the full range of measured taken by a nation to protect from subersion, lawlessness and insurgency
focuses on building political, economic, social and military institutions that fill the needs of society
