A

inhibits pyruvate dehydrogenase, blocks oxidative phosphorylation so causes acidosis

Treatment for arsenic poisoning?

A

Dimercaprol (BAL) or succimer (chelators) + symptomatic support. Takes 1-3 weeks to recover. Use glucocorticoids for dermatitis

Glove and stocking distribution of burning sensation. Bilateral arm and leg weakness, Hyperpigmentation and thickening of skin on palms and soles, Aldrich-Mees lines on nails.
