Where is the axilla?
lies inferior to the glenohumeral joint, at the junction of the upper limb and thorax
What is the purpose of the axilla?
provides a passageway for vessels and nerves going to and from the upper limb
What are the contents of the axilla?
medial and posterior parts of the axillary artery, brachial plexus, axillary Lymph nodes, axillary vein, Biceps brachii and corocobrachialis
What is the cubital fossa?
a shallow triangular depression on the anterior surface of the elbow
What are the boundaries of the cubital fossa?
superiorly: an imaginary line connecting the medial and lateral epicondyles
medially: the pronator teres
laterally: the brachioradialis
What is the anatomical snuff box?
a triangular depression found on the lateral aspect of the dorsum of the hand
