Decreased PO2/FiO2 ratio
A
Mild; 200-3–mmHg, Moderate; 100-200mmHg, Severe; <100mmHg

Q
General principles
A
Minimize invasive procedures and therefore complications.
Daily “Sedation Vacation” if no neuromuscular blockade.
Low Tidal Volume Ventilation with TV of 6ml/kg ideal body weight is standard and prevents ventilator associated ALI.
