What fears did the addition of the Bill of Rights calm?
The Bill of Rights eased some of the fears of many Anti-Federalists. It ensured more individual freedoms and restricted the control/power of the Federal government.
How did Hamilton propose to solve the problem of growing debt in the US?
Hamilton proposed that Congress would assume state debt.
Why did the southern states dislike Hamilton’s proposal for dealing with (state) debt?
The southern states disliked Hamilton’s proposal of Congress assuming state debt because they thought it favored the northern states. At the time, the northern states carried 80% of the debt, but with Hamilton’s plan, all of the states would split the debt evenly.
