what ideas did Lenin set out
When travelling up Lenin set out to work on strategy and tactics, he would argue that February revolution should be swiftly followed by a second one to overthrow the government to employ his Marxist thinking. Lenin thought a switch from capitalism to communism could be achieved in a matter of months while also be massively beneficial for the people of Russia

Due to an overwhelming amount of support in so few months lenin next step was to announce a series of policies that would appeal to his party members but also the wider population of Russia. These policies included peace for Russia, land reform and power to the Soviets.
Peace. The desire and also almost need for peace was huge many of Russia problems were being caused by the war whether it is the standard of living or economic challenges, lenin thought that if Russia were so strong of the front of peace then another world leader would follow suit, furthermore lenin acted upon the decisions of the current government as they made a half and half decision to fighting and lenin proposed that all fighting would be immediately stopped under Lenin
Land reform, they were fully aware of the need to have land reform as many peasants were having to take matters into their own hands and seize land from the nobility.it encouraged
All power to the soviets. That all democratic decisions elected by the people to also be the heart of all political decisions
why were Lenin ideas controversial?
As it was a big change many thought it wouldn’t work furthermore would heavily impact the high classes and wealthy people of russia who usually held the most power, in addition they thought lenin was in cable of flexibility

In just over two months from february to april the bolshevik party members tripled from 25,000 to 75,000, plus many of these were working class and were also thinking radically this support may be down to the personality and force of lenin and the fact this switch of ideology would help the lesser members of russian civilization
