It ensures that the rest of your body does not have to compensate by moving out of alignment due to unequal weight distribution.

What are the guidelines for tadasana?
- Big Toes together, sides of the foot parallel with sides of the mat.
- Feet are pressing into the ground in all four corners equally.
- Ground drawn equally up through the arch of the foot into the shin bones.
- Ankle bone should extend straight down through the front of the heel.
Externally Rotated Foot is used for what?
all hip openers.
When you externally rotate your foot it will rotate what?
The top of your thigh. Externally rotating your foot rotates the top of your thigh.
When you are externally rotating your foot, it rotates the top of your thigh. What does this do?
It sets your hips to open more.
What is a great cue to help clients externally rotate their foot ?
“top of the little toes turning sideways to face the ground”.
A great cue to communicate externally rotate foot is “top of the little toes turning sideways to face the ground”.
Flointed Foot - what is this?
This is a position in the middle of flex and point. Balls of the toes are the furthest point of the foot from the heel
What is a great cue to help clients for flointed foot position?
“pretend you’re wearing high heels”.
