What does SIADH stand for ?
Syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH)
What hormones are within the posterior piturarty gland ?
Oxytocin and ADH (vasopressin)
What happens in SIADH
SIADH causes your body to retain too much water and commonly leads to hyponatremia, which is low levels of sodium in your blood.
Hypernatremia - too much sodium within the blood !!
YOU ARE NOT PRODUCING ENOUGH URINE.
All solutes become dilute so hyponatremia ect
