A
Stomach and appendix share the same nerve pathway at T10

A
When the appendix is swollen - more delayed

A
High with a shift to the left

Rovsing’s Sign
A
Push on LLQ and they feel pain on RLQ - pushing deep enough that it pushes all the bowel over

Psoas Sign
A
Passive extension of the right thigh when the pt is lying on the L side causes RLQ pain

Obturator sign
A
Flexion and medial rotation of the hip produces pain in the RLQ
