Engine Exhaust After Treatment System
Designed to maintain itself through periodic self-cleaning called “regeneration” or “regen”
Passive Regen
Can occur during normal engine operations, driving or pumping. Requires no action by driver.
Active Regen
Apparatus may active regen without action by driver. However, when needed, driver can assist by changing the duty cycle of the engine, i.e. switch to highway driving or pump conditions or initiate a parked regen.
Exhaust temps during regen.

On the 2017 Pierce Enforcer, what does the shoreline plug do?
Charges the apparatus batteries, powers the plug in the officer’s rear compartment, powers the water heater for decon use.

Separate 18 gallon water tank above pump panel. 2 water heaters, 12v and 120v, designed to keep water tank warm 24/7.

Between 140 and 220 degrees F
ASR
Anti-Slip Resistance. If one wheel is off the road, spinning, ASR will apply that brake to increase torque to the other wheel allowing it to pull the apparatus out. ASR is completely automatic.
What to do when stuck in deep mud or snow, loose dirt, or sand
Press the Off Road Traction Control switch. This will allow some slippage (spinning) to assist in climbing out.
Activating on-spot chains
Engage when traveling 2-25 mph. Do not exceed 35 mph.
Front Wheel Lock
Applies air to front brakes for additional holding.
