bicameral legislature
a two-house legislature
-The legislature created by the Framers is considered a bicameral legislature.
apportionment
the process of allotting congressional seats to each state according to its proportion of the population, following the decennial census
-After seats are apportioned, state legislatures must redraw congressional districts to reflect population shifts
