Obstruction of the lumen, blockage of substance from the cecum, increased intraluminal pressure, exceeds venous pressure, venous stasis, ischemia, necrosis, bacteria enter the the wall…at risk for perforation

A
Epigastric and preumbilical pain Nausea and vomiting Pain intensifies Becomes colicky after 12 hours Locates to LRQ (rebound pain) on palpitation Guarded pain Increased WBC and Temp McBurney's point
