This caused difficulty in traveling to places such as urban areas, caused protests against the dompas

Aimed to control the no. Of black peoples in urban areas with the new identity doc. Called the Dompas which included racial group, permission and personal details.
Failure to produce= arrest

Control the movement and economic activity of blacks because Blacks with the dompas needed to report to police to go places or work somewhere.

Separate Representation of Voters Act

A

This act ended the cape Coloureds ability to vote in white elections
Grand apartheid this therefore reserved political power for whites because they were the only racial group that could vote and effect the leadership over everyone.
