anit-hero
Characteristics opposite of the conventional hero. The protagonist is generally admired for his bravery, strength, charm, etc. while an anti-hero is typically clumsy and unskilled and has both good and bad qualities.
Band wagon
A persuasive technique and type of propaganda through which a writer persuades his readers, so that the majority agree with him, suggesting that since the majority agrees, the reader should too.
Ex: “Everyone is voting for David, so he must be the best candidate!”
Bandwagon function
The function of this technique is to make an audience think and act a way that majority follows. This occurs with tendency and beliefs when the audience sees others conforming.
Propaganda
It is found in mass media, advertising and in politics and literature. The primary function is to persuade the readers and mold their perceptions about a particular cause. It aims at getting response and letting them adopt a certain action, because merely securing a commitment would not be enough.
