What is introspection? What was its purpose?
An informal experience approach of looking inwards and researching a patient’s mind, thoughts and feelings. Utilizes as a tool to look inwards (self-reflection)
Compare and contrast structuralism and functionalism. Don’t forget to identify the theorists attached to each.
Structuralism (Edward Titchener) focused on the structure of the mind whereas functionalism (William James) focused on the function of the mind.

What is the difference between basic and applied research?
Basic research aims to answer scientific questions whereas applied research aims to solve a specific real world problem
