Expresses relationship between words

What are conjunctions?
A word used to connect clauses or sentences
What are determiners?
Expresses quantity or possession before noun
What are the four prosodic features?
Tempo
Volume
Pitch and intonation
Stress
What is tempo?
When we speak we can change the tempo or speed
What is volume?
Loudness signals a range of feelings
Pitch and intonation
Pitch is how high or low your voice goes and intonation is the changing of pitch
What is stress?
Emphasis on particular syllables
What are infixes?
Occur within the root
What’s an auxiliary verb?
They help verbs ( be, do have )
What is syntax?
Study of sentence structure
Name the four types of sentences?
Declaratives ( makes statements )
Imperatives ( issues commands )
Interrogatives ( pose questions )
Exclamatives ( makes exclamations )
