The capacity for thinking about meaning that is within every person. This may be expressed through religions.
What are religions?
They are organised systems or institutions which express and ritualise beliefs. Religions usually have stories, rituals, symbols, laws as well as their own history and organisational structure.
How do religions give people meaning in their lives?
They provide people with a purpose and guidance. It allows people to feel wanted and content. It helps fulfil happiness.
What are Abrahamic religions?
Followers believe in prophet Abraham and his descendants to hold an important role in spiritual development. The best known ones are. Christianity, Judaism and Islam. They worship the god of Abraham.
What are Eastern religions?
Religions from east Asia (mostly Taoism and Confucianism) and India (mainly Hinduism and Buddhism). They believe in things like dharma, karma, maya and samsara.
