- Lasting 6+ months, symptoms a majority of days
- Not episodic or situational
- Concominant somatic symptoms: ex: fatigue, muscle tension, sleep disturbance
- Tx: SSRIs, benzos for acute anxiety, therapy

- Extraordinary life event
- Sensation of helplessness, fear, dissociative sxs
- For Dx: 3+, for 1mo+ 1) Amnesia to aspects of event, 2) Avoidance of things that remind of event, 3) Attempts to avoid thinking/talking of event, 4) feelings of detachment, 5) anhedonia, 6) restricted affect,
- Tx: SSRIs, benzos for anxiety, Therapy
