Cloroquina

  • tratamiento paludico (malaria)
  • resistencia por mutaciones en el gen pfcrt
  • metabolismo por CYP hepatico
  • excrecion renal aumenta con acidifcacion urinaria
  • farmaco mas indicado para farmacoprofilaxis y tratamiento de infecciones por p.ovale y p.malariae
  • Efectos secundarios: ensanchamiento del intervalo QRS, anromalidades de onda T, alteracion de lechos unguelas y membrnas mucsoas, arritmias cardiacas, efectos del SNC.
  • no administrar en pacientes con psoriasis
  • no recomendable en personas con epilepsia o miastenia grave
  • inhibe actividad de la CYP2D6

  • actua contra plasmodios
  • no es activa contra parasitos en etapa hematica asexual
  • farmacoprofilaxis terminal y cura radical de infecciones por p. vivax y p. ovale
  • actua en fases exoeritrociticas tisulares de los plasmodios en el higado, por lo que evita y cura paludismo recidivante.
  • importante descartar deficiencia de G6PD
  • granulocitopenia y agranulocitosis
