What are tetracyclines action to stop bacterial growth
inhibit what?
They inhibit protein synthesis and thus growth by binding to the 30S ribosome.

-chelation (DO NOT take with milk, one hr before or 2 hrs after)

Adverse Effects
-stains teeth/hinders bone growth
-photosensitivity
-hepato/renal toxic
-superinfection like C. diff (a second infection from antibiotics killing off good bacteria as well)
