-Action: inhibit bacterial DNA gyrase
-Need to know: don’t eat 6 hrs before taking or 1 hour after
-SE: tendon rupture, phototoxicity, CNS* (dizzy/confused) and candida* for women
-Take for: UTI and anthrax

Levofloxacin
-Action: inhibit bacterial DNA gyrase
-Need to know: don’t eat 6 hrs before taking or 1 hour after
SE: tendonitis and photoxicity
Taken for: UTI and second line drug against TB
