Q

Amphotericin B4

A

MOA
Bind to ergosterols to create membrane pores

Use
Systemic infections with Candida, cryptociccus, dimorphics, aspergillus & mucormycosis

SE
Renal toxicity - damgeds distal tubule membrane = electrolyte wasting - constriction of afferent arteriore = acute kidney failure
Supress Epo production
Infusion related reactions (sweats chills & rigors)
Renal toxicity is worth with other renally toxic drugs
Manage toxicity with acetiminophen, diphenhydramine & replace salts
