MAO-Inhibitors

A

MAO = MonoAminoOxidase A und B

  • Antidepressant, Morbus Parkinson
  • unselective MAO-I .: tranylcypromin (antidepressant)
  • selective MAO-A-I.: moclobemide (antidepressant)
  • selective MAO-B-I.: rasagiline, selegiline (Parkinson)
  • Interaction with Tyramine-rich foods (Käse, Rotwein, Schokolade): bei Tranylcypromin: Low Tyramine Diet; other MAOI: avoid tyramine-rich food
  • MOA: Tyrosine → Tyramine → Norepinephrine → increased RR und MAO degradiert Tyramine + Norepinephrine normalerweise

Tranylcypromin

A

unselective, irreversible MAO-Inhibitors (Monoaminooxidase)
- Antidepressant
- Interaction with Tyramine-rich foods (Käse, Rotwein, Schokolade): Gefahr von Hypertensive Crisis
daher: Low Tyramine Diet!
why? Tyrosine → Tyramine → Norepinephrine → higher RR
MAO-A und B degradieren Tyramine + Norepinephrine
- MOA: Um die Monoaminconc. (Serotonin + Noradrenalin, auch Adrenalin und Dopamin) zu erhöhen, muss MAO-A gehemmt werden (baut Monoamine ab)
