-Think of willpower as a skill…not I have it, or I don’t
-Mistakes are feedback for the need for more

A
Prepare for Temptations
Plan for your temptation and how you will handle it
Consider:
-Avoiding tempting situations
-Ask for help
-Make a public commitment to change
-Minimize the tempting quality of the situation
-Distract yourself (most effective tool!)
-Remind yourself (and others) of your goal
-Prepare “if” and “then” plans. (avoid making decisions while under stress)
