Mild CAP
amoxicillin
Moderate CAP
Amoxcillin + clarithromycin
Severe CAP
Co-amoxiclav + clarithromycin
TB
For 8 weeks
R: Rifampicin
I: isoniazid
P: pyrazinamide
E: clarithromycin
Then R and I for 16 weeks
Aspiration pneumonia
Amoxcillin + metronidazole
Out of hospital meningitis
Benzylpencillin
Meningococcus/ Pneumococcus/Haemophillus meningitis
Ceftrixone
Listeria meningitis
Ceftraxione + ampicillin + gentamicin
(Ceftrxione is resistant to lusteria but needed for empirical tx before confirmed)
Meningitis prophylaxis
Rifampicin or ciprofloxacin
Cryptococcal meningitis
Amphotercin B
Lower uncomplicated UTI (non-pregnant)
Nitrofuratonin (oral 100mg BD 3 days)
Or
Trimethoprim (oral 200mg BD 3 days)
Candida albicans
Clotrimazole/ Fluconazole
Trichomonas vaginalis
Metronidazole
Bacterial vaginosis
Metronidazole
Genital herpes
Aciclovir
