Aspirin
Class 1, COX1 inhibitor
Use for unstable angina, MI, following TIA

Class 2, P2Y12 (ADP) inhibitor
use when stenting, high risk ACS
give in combination with aspirin
Aspirin Side Effects
Side effects include bleeding when given with other anticoags, stomach problems
Clopidogrel Side Effects
bleeding (especially when combined with other platelet inhibitors), irreversible, 16% non-respondance rate

Class 2, P2Y12 (ADP) inhibitor
faster platelet inhibition with less drug
will eventually replace plavix
