Types of angina
Classical angina (stable angina) - atherosclerosis l
Variant / prinzmetal angina - vasospasam
Unstable angina - progressive occlusion
Rupture of athromatous plaque & platelet aggregation at ruptured plaque
Organic nitrates and nitrites
Short acting : nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate( sublingual)
Amyl nitrate (inhalant)
Long acting : nitroglycerin oral sustained tablet, isosorbide dinitrate and mononitrate, nitroglycerin transdermal patch
