Tibialis Anterior
O: lat condyle + upper half of lat surface of tibia + interosseous membrane
I: Medial surface of medial cuneiform + base of 1st met
Extensor Hallucis Longus (EHL)
O: Middle part of ant. surface of fibula and intersseous membrane
I: Dorsal aspect of base of distal phalanx of great toe
Extensor Digitorum Longus (EDL)
O: Lat. condyle of tibia, upper 3/4 of medial surface of fibula and interosseous membrane
I: Middle + Distal phalanges of lateral four digits
Peroneus Tertius
O: Inferior thrid of ant. surface of fibular + interosseous membrane
I: top of 5th met
Peroneus Longus (superficial) - Lateral Leg
O: Head and upper 2/3 of lat surface of fibula
I: Wraps under the foot and attaches to the medial surface of the 1st met
Peroneus Brevis (deeper) - Lateral Leg
O: inferior 2/3 of lat surface of fibula
I: base of 5th met
Tibialis Anterior ACTION
Strongest DF and Supinator (turns foot medially)
EHL ACTION
Extends the big toe
DF ankle
EDL ACTION
Extends other digits
DF ankle
Peroneus tertius ACTION
Aid in pronation (eversion of foot)
weakly DF ankle

Pronate Foot
Protect Ligs on lateral side
Peroneus Brevis - Lateral Leg ACTION

Protects Ligs on Lateral side
