Sympathomimetic
VC+VD, Inc HR + SV, BD, Dec. GI motility, Met effects, Splenic contractions
CI: CardioPul resuscitation, anaphylactic shock, Local VC
SEs: PD to arrhythmia and hypertension

Phenylephrine
Sympathomimmetic
A1 - VC + Inc. BP - bradycardia
Systemic admin for hypotension (SA + E)
Local admin manage priapism (inj CC). eye drops
SEs - dec. tissue perfusion + Dec CO
Quick OS, absorbed from MM
Xylaxine, (dex)medetomidine and romifidine
Sympathomimetic - A2 agonist-> PreS (dec. symp tone, reduced BP), PostS (VC)
CIs: sedation + analgesia
Atipamezole
Sympatholytic - A2 antagonist - reverse effects of antagonists xylazine, dexmedetomidine and romifidine
Dobutamine
Sympathomimetic
B1 - effect predominant and selective -> positive inotrope (inc. muscle contraction)
B2 - minimal effect (VD)
CI: hypotension
SEs: tachycardia
Quick OS and short 1/2L (2-3mins)
Clenbuterol
Sympathomimetic
X use in any other circumstance 4 cattle
B2 - BrD, tocolytic (uterine relaxation in cattle), less cardiac effects
CI: bronchospasm - equine asthma, in comb. with CCs
SEs: VD -> hypotension and tachyc
IV inj or oral admin
Propanolol
Sympatholytic
Non specific B blocker
CI: treat tahcycardia
SEs: Dec, contratcility , VC and BrC
Atenolol and Esmolol
Sympatholytic
B1 blockers (red. HR), Lim B2
CI - TachyC
SEs - dec. contractility
IV rapid onset and met, Atenolol oral and IV - X sign metablised
Atropine and glycopyrrolate
Parasympatholytic
Muscarinic receptor agonist
Tachy C, GI dec. motility, BD and decreased secretions,
mydriasis, SM relaxation of UT
CI - Systemic (IV or IM), topically
SEs - Ileus, tachycardia, hypertension, dry MM, pupil dilation
Neostigmine
Parasympathomimetic
Cholinesterase inhibitor
CI: diagnose myasthenia gravis
SEs: bradyc, salivation, bronchospasm diarrhoea
