Management

A

ACUTE: RICE, immobilize in neutral or in slight dorsiflexion & eversion.
SUBACUTE:
*Splint during PWB to protect ligament.
*NWB AROM (dorsi/planter/inversion/eversion)
* Progress to strengthening with in restricted ROM.
*Wear splints & balance ex. in partial WB
FUNCTION PHASE: Strengthening, balance, sports + wear ankle splint or tape.
