Behaviourists argue that conditioning processes is the same in all animals, so can be generalised to humans
Fewer ethical issues, don’t need consent, can keep them in labs for a long time
Less reproduction rate so studies over generations take less time
Cons
Complex behaviours cannot be generalised as human brain more complex
Distress or pain often unavoidable, this is unethical
