Trajan’s Forum, Rome, 98-112 C.E.
Importance: like Greek agora-city central hub-cluster of buildings, politics, public speeches , temples etc.

Basilica of Constantine and Maxentius, Rome, 307-after 312.
Importance: Largest in all of Rome. 3 large groin vaults.

Arch of Constantine, Rome, c. 315 C.E.
Importance: “given to the city” but was just about Constantine himself. “billboard”. Pieces are taken from other buildings and arches.

House of Menander, Pompeii (Italy), after 62 C.E.
Importance: Wealthy persons townhouse- shows status with money. One of the best preserved

Palace of Diocletian, Spalato (Split, Croatia), c. 300 C.E.
Importance: Diocletian built this as his retrement estate. Built around politics and army- movement- Diocletian involved in army.
