Patricians were upper class, plebians were lower class. Completely seperated, could not marry each other

Another general statesman. Known for his military strategy, and his dictatorship over rome.

Julius Caesar’s adopted son and heir. First emperor of ancient rome. Brought peace to Rome

Were like our leisure centres. big building with swimming pools. Changing rooms and toilets.
Colosseum
Ampitheatre built in rome. Intended to be an entertainment theatre. Hosting gladiator fights, etc.
Pax Romana
Means “Roman Peace” The golden age of rome. 200 year period that saw peace.
Punic Wars
A series of wars. Rome wanted to expand its territory. 3 took place on land and sea.
SPQR
Referring to the government of the roman republic, After deafeating the last king, the people started a new type of government
Roman legions
Largest military unit of the roman army. Highly diciplined and well trained.
