Auditory Nerve
Nerve that connects the ears to the brain.
External Ear
Visible,
Auditory canal is the passageway leading into the ear from the outside of the body.
Tympanic membrane or eardrum is at the end of the canal and separates the outer and middle parts of the ear.
Middle Ear
Contains the three bones which pick up the vibrations and transmit them to the inner ear.
Inner Ear
Contains the semicircular canals which are fluid filled and help maintain our balance.
Cochlea
Transmits sound vibration to the auditory nerve.
Auditory Canal
Passageway leading into the ear from the outside of the body.
Eardrum
Membrane separating the outer and middle parts of the ear; the tympanic membrane.
