Anatomy Flashcards

1
Q

Borders and contents of “Interscalene triangle”

This is also the area of thoracic outlet

A
Borders:
A: Anterior Scalene muscle
P: Middle Scalene muscle
Floor: First Rib
Roof: Prevertebral fascia and clacivle

Contents:
Brachial plexus trunks
Subclavian artery

Subclavian vein is not in this space, it runs in front of anterior scalene

Q

How to differentiate between Ulnar nerve and C8-T1 radiculopathy

A

Ulnar nerve
Sensation to medial border of the hand, Motor to most intrinsics

Medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve (medial cord from C8 and T1) does sensation to medial forearm
LOAF muscles are done by Median nerve via C8 and T1

Q

Layers of the foot

A

From the floor up:

  1. AFA (Abductor H, Flexor D, Abductor DM)
  2. 222 (2 Tendons, 2 muscles, 2NV bundles: FHL, FDL, Lumbricals, QP, Medial and Lateral plantar NVs)
  3. FAF (FHB, ADductor H, FDMB)
  4. Interossei (dorsal and plantar)
  5. EHB, EDB (dorsal compartment)

so AFA222FAF (remember that B comes before D, so ABductors first, then ADductors. The interossei and the dorsal layers you just have to remember)
