  • False Diverticulum
  • Uncoordinated swallowing and gailure of cricopharyngeus muscle to relax
  • Occurs in Killain’s triangle (superior to cricopharyngeus muscle and inferior to the thyropharyngeus m.
  • Sx:
    • Difficulty swallowing
    • Halitosis
    • Cough
  • Diagnosed via fluoroscopic barium esophagography
  • DO NOT PERFORM ENDOSCOPY (Can rupture esophagus)
