What is the management of anaphylaxis?
A
Lower bed, legs up.
Monitoring on and IV access.
Call for help.
500 micrograms IM (0.5ml - 1:1000) - repeat after 5 mins if no response
When help arrives: (look for guidelines - kids under 12).
airway and high O2
IV fluid challenge
Chlorphenamine (piriton) 10mg IM or slow infusion.
Hydrocrotisone - 200mg IM or slow infusion.
Can also give salbutamol for wheeze.
