Define Independent Analysis
Child’s productions are described without comparison to an adult model
Define Relational Analysis

Define Traditional Analysis
Looks at the position of misarticulation and types of errors made
Define Pattern Analysis
Discovers patterns/systematic modifications in production errors
- Distinctive features (nobody uses this)
- Place, Manner, Voice (used most commonly)
Define Phonological Process Analysis
Child’s errors are classified according to evident phonological processes (frequency, percentage of occurrence)
What is a Phonetic Inventory Analysis
Helps the clinician identify the consonants and vowels the client can make without consideration for the contrasting effects of the sound in adult words. Looks at whether or not the client produced the sound.

Define Developmental Analysis

- Compares child’s productions to norms for their chronological age
Intelligibility Analysis
Usually a subjective statement, giving the percentage of intelligibility in a speech sample
