A

Amphetamine is an amine used to treat daytime drowsiness and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Phenylephrine is an amine commonly used as a decongestant. Phenylelphrine is found in many over-the-counter cold and flu preparations, commonly in combination with paracetamol.

Adrelanine is the ‘flight or fight; amine helping the body to deal with sudden stresses.

Why are amines weak bases?

A

Amines have a nitrogen atom which has a lone pair of electrons that can be used to create a dative covalent bond with a hydrogen atom. Hence it can act as base because it can accpets protons.
