1st Amendment 18.06.1951:
The State was empowered to make special provisions for the advancement of socially and backward classes. The ninth shedule was added.
2nd Amendment 1.11.1956
Necessitated on account of reorganization of States on a linguistic basis
8th Amendment 5.1,1960
Extended special provisions for reservations of seats for Scs, STs and Anglo-Indinas in Lok Sabha and Leg. Assemblies for a period of 10 years from 1960 to 1970.
9th Amendment 28.12.1960:
Gave effect to transfer certain territories to Pakistan following the 1958 “Indo-Pak agreement”
10th Amendment 11.8.1961
Incorporated Dadra & Nagar Haveli as a Union Territory.
12th Amendment 20.12.1961:
Incorporated Goa, Daman & Diu as a UT.
13th Amendment 1.12.1963:
Created Nagaland as a State.
14th Amendment 28.12.1962:
Pondicherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam, the former French territories were included in tech schedule as UT of Pondicherry.
18th Amendment 27.8.1966:
Reorganised Punjab into Punjab, Haryana and UT of Chandigarh.
21st Amendment 10.4.1967:
Included Sindhi as the Fifteenth Regional language.
22nd Amendment 25.9.1969
Created a sub-state of Meghalaya within Assam.
23rd Amendment 23.1.1970
Extended the reservation of seats for SC/ST and nomination of Anglo-Indians for a further period of 10 years (till 1980).
26th Amendment 28.12.1971
Abolished the titles and special privileges of former rulers of princely states.
27th Amendment 30.121971
Established Manipur Tripura as States and Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh as UTs.
31st Amendment 17.10..1973
Increased the elective strength of Lok Sabha from 525 to 545. The upper limit of representatives of State went up from 500 to 525.
36th Amendment 26.4.1975:
Made Sikkim a State.
38th Amendment 1.8.1975
Provided that the President can make a declaration of emergency, and the promulgation of ordinances by the President, Governors and the Administrative Heads of UTs would be final and could not be challenged in any court. It also authorised the President to declare different kinds fo emergencies.
39th Amendment 10.8.1975
Placed beyond challenged in courts, the election to Parliament of a person holdking the office of PM or Speaker and election of the President and Prime Minister.
42nd Amendment 1.2.1977
Provided Supremacy of Parliament and gave primacy to Directive Principals over. Fundamental Rights. It also added 10 Fundamental Duties New Words-Socialist, Secular and Unity and integrity of the Nation, were added in the preamble.
44th Amendment 20.6.1979
The Right to property was deleted from Part III. Article 352 was amended to provide ‘Armed rebellion’ as one of the circumstances for declaration of emergency.
45th Amendment 25.1.1980:
Extended reservation of SC/ST by another 10 years (till 1990).
52nd Amendment 1.3.1985:
Added the Tenth Schedule (regarding anti defection.)
53rd Amendment 20.2.1987
Mizoram was made a State.
55th Amendment 20.2.1987
Conferred Statehood to Arunachal Pradesh.
56th Amendment 30.5.1987:
Transition provision to enable formation of State of Goa.
61st Amendment 28.3.1989:
Reduced the voting from 21 to 18 years fro the Lok Sabha as well as Assemblies.
62nd Amendment 20.12.1989
Extended reservation of seats for SC/ST till 2000.
71st Amendment 31.8.1992
Konkani, Manipuri and Nepali were included in the VIII Schedule.
73rd Amendment 24.4.1993
(Panchayati Raj Bill) Provided among other things Gram Sabha in Villages, constitution of panchayats at the village and other levels, direct election to all seats in panchayats and reservation of seats for the SC and ST and fixing of tenure of 5 years for panchayats
74th Amendment 1.6.1993
(nagarpalika Bill) provides for among, other things, constitution of three types of municipalities, reservation of seats in every municipality for the SC and ST, women and the backward classes
82nd Amendment 8.9.2000:
Permit relaxation of qualifying marks and other criteria in reservation in promotion of SC/ST candidates.
84th Amendment 21.2.2002
Extended freeze on Lok Sabha and State Assembly seats till 2026.
86th Amendment 12.12.2002:
Makes education a fundamental right for children in the age group of 6-14 years.

91st Amendment 1.1.2004:
Amended the Anti Defection Law and also made a provision that the number of ministers in the Central & State Govts. Cannot be more than 15% of the strength Lok Sabha & Respect Vidhan Sabha.
92nd Amendment 7.1.2004:
bodo, Maithili, Santhali and Dogri added into the VIII schedule
93rd Amendment 20.1.2006:
To enable provision of reservation for other backward classes(OBC) in government as well as private educational institutions.
94th Amendment 12.6.2006:
To provide for a minister of Tribal Welfare in newly created Jharkhand and Chattisgarh States.
95th Amendment 25.1.2010:
To extend the reservation of seats for
Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) in the Lok sabhas and states assemblies from Sixty years to Seventy years.
96th Amendment 23.9. 2011:
Substituted “Odia for Oriya”.
97th Amendment 12.1.2012:
Added the words “or co-operativ societies” after the word “or unions” in Article 19(1)(c) and inserted article 43B related to promotion of co-operative societies and added Part-IXB that is The Co-operative Societies.
98th Amendment 1.1. 2013:
To empower the Governor of Karnataka to take steps to develop the Hyderabad - Karnataka Region

100th Amendment 31.7.2015:

101th Amendment 8.9.2016
The act amends the constitution to introduce “ The Goods and services Tax”. it amended the articles 248,249,250,268,269,270,271,286,366 & 368. amended the sixth & seventh Schedules.
102nd Amendment11.8.2018
Constitutional status to National Commission for Backward Classes.
103rd Amendment 12.1.2019
A maximum of 10% Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) of citizens.
104th Amendment 21.1.2020:
To extend the reservation of seats for Scs and STs in the Lok Sabha and states assemblies from Seventy years to Eighty years. Removed the reserved seats for the Anglo-Indian community in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.

Restores the power of the State Governments and Union Territories to identify and specify Socially and economically Backward Classes (SEBCs)
