What are reasonable accommodations: religious and disability?

A

Religious accommodation = modifications or adjustments to work environment that allows employee to practice his or her religious belief without creating undue hardship on CBP. Religious belief must be sincerely held. Often relate to work schedules, dress and grooming, or religious expression or practice while at work. Submit accommodation to immediate supervisor.

Disability accommodation = an adjustment or alteration that enables a qualified person with a disability to apply for a job, perform job duties, or enjoy the privileges of employment. May include adjustment to how work is done or the process. Examples are making facilities readily accessible and usable, part time/modified work schedule, acquisition or modification of equipment or devices, adjustment or modification of examinations, interpreters. Submit to immediate supervisor then DCO (Diversity and Civil Rights) staff member will coordinate. May require medical professional statements.
