Q

What should you do during initially during ALS, prior to starting compression.

A

D - Ensure no immediate danger.

R - Assess for response, verbal then shake

S - send for help

A

  • Open airway using head tilt + chin lift
  • If risk of cervical spine injury then just use jaw thrust,

B
- assess for breathing (cheek next to airway + looking at chest), feel carotid at same time

C
- start compressions
