A

asthamatic pts 20-40 yrs of age in response to aspergillus

Dianostic criteria

A
  • Clinical history of asthma
  • peripheral esoinophilia
  • immediate skin reactivity to aspergillus antigen
  • precipitating antibodies to aspergillus antigen
  • elevated serum IgE
  • Pulm infiltrates
  • cnetral bronchiectasis
    If first six of the above are met diagnosis is confirmed.

Sputum culture can also be done to identify aspergillu. hisory of brown-clecked sputum and late skin reactivity to aspergillus antigen

A

High dose prednisone for at least 2 months
