Allergic bronchopulmonay aspergillosis results from an allergy to aspergillus spores.

What are the features of ABA?
A
Bronchoconstriction: wheeze, cough, dyspnoea.
(Patients may have a previous diagnosis of asthma)
Bronchiectasis (proximal)
(Eosinophilia on bloods)

Bloods : eosinophilia CXR: proximal bronchiectasis Positive radioalleergosorbent (RAST) test to aspergillus Positive IgG precipitings Raised IgE

What is the management of ABA?
A
Steroids
Itraconazole
