A
- Hit 17 of Russia’s 39 provinces
- Early winter followed by not dry summer ruined crops
- To raise revenue they heavily taxed consumer goods
- To afford what they deeded the peasants were forced to sell more grain which let them with no corn reserves
- 350,000 died of starvation.
