Albedo
Light from the sun is either absorbed And converted to heat, Reflected back to space, I’ll be there is simply a measure of how much light is reflected or absorbed by a surface
High albedo = most light reflected, the opposite is true
Net radiation budget
Incoming radiation versus outgoing radiation, on average the net radiation budget on earth is zero
When is it winter and summer in the northern hemisphere 
It is winter in the northern hemisphere when the north pole is tilted away from the sun and summer when it’s tilted towards
The natural greenhouse effect
Greenhouse gases in earths fear trap and heat radiated from earth

Conduction
The transfer of thermal energy through direct Contact between the particles of a substance, the moving the particles to a new location
Convection
Transfer of thermal energy through movement of particles from one location to another, Takes place in fluids
Atmospheric pressure
The pressure exerted by the mass of the air above any point on the earth surface, warm air is less dense so there is less atmospheric pressure in warm areas
Coriolis effect
The reflection of any object from straight line path by the rotation of the earth
Global wind patterns
Global wind patterns are caused by the unequal heating of the earth is a mess here and deflection of winds by the Coriolis effect
Jet stream
A band of fast moving air in the stratosphere, not subject to as much friction therefore a much faster
Surface tension
Water has surface tension, the attraction force between water molecules on the surface, because of water’s age bonds it has high melting points in high boiling points
